In short

  • Your videos stay on your phone. They reach us only if you upload one with WodCam Cloud.
  • No ads, no tracking, no location, and we sell nothing.
  • Without an account, we keep nothing that identifies you or your phone.
  • With an account, we keep your email and the profile you fill in, until you delete it.

Everyone, with or without an account

Your videos

Clips are recorded and saved on your phone. WodCam does not upload them, scan them or delete them unless you ask in the app. You choose where to send them. The one exception is a clip you upload yourself with WodCam Cloud (see below).

Clip sessions

When you start filming, the app asks our server for the clip's ID and the server's time, which are burned into the video as proof. For each clip the server keeps:

  • the clip ID and the time it was issued;
  • your phone's time zone and UTC offset;
  • the athletes' names as burned into the video;
  • when the clip ends, the length of its three parts (presentation, workout, validation).

It stores no account, device ID or IP address with them. A session never finished is deleted after 24 hours; every session is deleted one year after it was issued. We keep them so a judge can check that a clip matches a real session.

Device check

Before the camera or the music starts, the app asks Google Play Integrity to confirm it is the real WodCam on a genuine Android device. Google handles that request under the Google Privacy Policy. We keep only a pass valid two hours, in the phone's memory.

Anonymous usage statistics

To improve the music, the app sends which playlist is picked, which track plays and for how long, and how it ended, with the app version and Android version. Nothing ties two events together: no account, no device ID, no IP address. Rows are deleted after 25 months. Turn it off in Profile with Help improve the app; while it is off nothing is sent.

Server logs

Our hosting provider, Supabase, records the IP address and an approximate location (city, region, country, network) of each request to our server, for security and troubleshooting. These logs are kept 1 day. Our own tables never store IP addresses.

With an account

You sign in with your email and a one-time code. We keep:

Email addressSign-in codes and replies to your requests
Full name, box or affiliate, default athlete nameYour profile, shown only to you
Profile picture and box logoShown in your profile; the logo, turned white on the phone, is burned into your clips
Competitions you submitName, dates, workouts, logo, PDF and event link, reviewed before they appear in the app

We keep them until you delete your account. See Delete your account.

WodCam Cloud (coming soon)

WodCam Cloud is paid: a subscription, or one clip at a time. Without it, we never keep any of your videos.

With it, you can upload a clip with one tap. We store it in Europe (Frankfurt, Germany) and give you a direct link to it. We never send that link to anyone: you post it yourself where the competition asks. Whoever has the link can watch the clip.

Each clipStays online 6 months after its upload, then it is deleted
When your subscription endsYour clips stay online 30 days, then they are all deleted
When you delete your accountYour clips stay online 15 days, then they are all deleted

Who processes your data

  • Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage, in Ireland (EU).
  • Google: app distribution through Google Play and the device check.

With WodCam Cloud (coming soon):

  • Bunny: storage and playback of the clips you upload, in Frankfurt, Germany (EU).
  • Google Play and RevenueCat: payment and subscription status. RevenueCat receives only your account's ID and Google's purchase record, never your name or email.

We never sell your data or share it for advertising.

Legal basis

  • Your account and profile: to provide the service you asked for (contract).
  • Clip sessions, the device check and server logs: our legitimate interest in proving clips are genuine and keeping the service secure.
  • Usage statistics: our legitimate interest in improving the app; you can turn them off at any time.
